Florian Kamberi is keen on a return to Rangers this summer with the Ibrox giants making a new offer to sign the striker on loan from Hibernian once again, according to Edinburgh Live.
While the stocky Swiss didn’t exactly set the world alight during a short-term spell in Glasgow in the second half of 2019/20, he obviously made a positive impression on Steven Gerrard.
Kamberi scored just one Scottish Premiership goal in Rangers colours but he certainly gives the runners-up something a little different in attack.
Competing for a place with the penalty box poacher Alfredo Morelos and a diminutive Jermaine Defoe, the 25-year-old gives Gerrard a viable Plan B with his 6ft 2ins frame and ability to bully defenders with his back to goal.
“Kamberi has brought energy to the team and again you could see his impact, I have been really pleased with him,” the Liverpool legend told Rangers’ Twitter account in March, bringing to mind the striker’s all-action display in the impressive Europa League win away at Braga.

According to reports from Edinburgh, Rangers obviously feel Kamberi, who described his initial switch to the club as a ‘dream’, has unfinished business at Ibrox.
They have approached Hibs to enquire about whether they would be willing to let the former Grasshoppers youngster return for a further 12 months, with Greg Docherty expected to go in the other direction once again.
But, with just 12 months remaining on his contract at Easter Road, it is difficult to imagine Hibernian letting Kamberi leave on loan without some sort of fee involved.
The report adds that Hull City have had two bids rejected.
