Sergio Reguilon leaving Tottenham Hotspur has looked on the cards for quite a while.

The Spain international struggled to play regularly under Antonio Conte during the second half of last season.

And when Conte left him out of the Tottenham squad for their pre-season tour of South Korea, the writing was even more on the wall than it was previously.

Reguilon is linked to a number of clubs – including Inter Milan – but one side who could still sign him is Sevilla.

Despite being close to signing Alex Telles of Manchester United, Mundo Deportivo claim that the Spurs left-back is their ‘priority’.

The report from Spain adds that Reguilon himself ‘deeply’ wants the transfer and will put pressure on the Lilywhites to accept Sevilla’s loan-to-buy offer.

Sergio Reguilon leaving Tottenham Hotspur?

Reguilon wanting to leave makes complete sense.

The North Londoners have been linked with another left-back in the form of Marc Cucurella, who appears to be on his way to Chelsea, but the speculation in itself was an indication that Conte and Fabio Paratici want a similiar player.

Ryan Sessegnon has leapfrogged him in Conte’s pecking order and even right-back Matt Doherty has also been used on the left-hand side.

Overall, there’s virtually nothing keeping the Spaniard in North London and it’s probably a case of when, not if, he leaves Tottenham at this stage.

Whether he gets his move to Sevilla, however, remains to be seen.
