According to The Sun, Tanguy Ndombele was also planning a summer exit from Tottenham before Harry Kane told the club he wanted out.
Sky Sports reveal that Kane has reiterated his desire to leave Spurs, and wants his future sorted out before England’s EURO 2020 campaign begins.
Now, The Sun claim that Ndombele and Serge Aurier are also plotting exits from north London.
It is said that both men were eyeing summer exits from Tottenham before the news about Kane hit the headlines.
When it rains, it pours.
In Aurier’s case, he perhaps wouldn’t be that much of a miss, and it seems that Daniel Levy knows that.
According to RMC Sport, the Ivorian has an agreement with Spurs that means he’s allowed to leave if a £9 million bid arrives.
Safe to say that Tottenham aren’t that desperate to keep him.
However, losing Ndombele would be a significant blow.
The 24-year-old Frenchman is Tottenham’s club-record signing, having arrived from Olympique Lyon in a deal worth £53.8 million.
Ndombele has been excellent this season, after battling back from some tough treatment by José Mourinho.
His turnaround was even recognised by the 58-year-old, who described Tottenham’s No.28 as ‘magnificent‘ back in January.
Losing Kane and Ndombele in one summer is the stuff of nightmares for Tottenham fans.
Ever since Mauricio Pochettino was sacked, things have been getting gradually worse for the north Londoners.
This would potentially be the final nail in Levy’s coffin – it would set the club back years.
It simply can’t be allowed to happen.
