Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos is a lucky, lucky man.

The Gunners put one foot in the quarter-final of the Europa League last night with a 3-1 win away to Olympiacos.

But a mistake from the Spain international is what led to Arsenal conceding an equaliser shortly before the hour mark.

Ceballos lost possession deep in his own half and the Greek side capitalised on it immediately.

Arsenal went on to score two more away goals in the final 10 minutes to give themselves a huge advantage ahead of the second leg next week.

Mohamed Elneny added a third in the closing stages and Football London has reported that a relieved Ceballos ‘celebrated wildly on his own’ after the Egypt international struck.

Elneny was flocked by his Arsenal team-mates but Ceballos – on loan from Real Madrid – did look separate from the pack, before fist bumping Emile Smith Rowe.

To be fair to the Spaniard, goalkeeper Bernd Leno did him absolutely no favours.

Yes, it was a mistake from Ceballos, but the Arsenal keeper never should have given him the ball in an error which bore resemblance to the goal they conceded at Burnley last weekend.
