According to DH, Newcastle United are interested in signing Selim Amallah from Standard Liege in the summer transfer window.

German club Schalke and Spanish outfit Valencia are also claimed to want the 23-year-old midfielder.

The report has added that Newcastle have expressed their interest in the youngster, who himself is open to a move to St. James’ Park and play in the Premier League.

It has been further reported that Belgian club Liege will sell the Morocco international, but at the right price.

Stats

According to Transfermarkt, Amallah scored seven goals and provided five assists in 25 Jupilier Pro League games for Liege this season.

The midfielder also scored two goals in five Europa League matches for his Belgian club this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.

Good signing for Newcastle United?

Amallah is a very good and promising young midfielder who already has a good amount of experience.

It remains to be seen just how much Liege demand for him, as at the right price, the midfielder could prove to be a bargain signing for Newcastle, especially under the current economic climate.
