Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury would choose West Bromwich Albion over Southampton and Newcastle United, as reported by the Express and Star.
Given that the Baggies are already six points adrift of safety and set for an immediate return to the Championship barring a repeat of the ‘Great Escape’ of 2005, Choudhury’s stance might seem a little odd.
Especially when you consider that Newcastle, who have submitted a loan bid for the England U21 international, are still sitting quite comfortably above the drop zone despite a miserable run of form.
Southampton, meanwhile, are level on points with Tottenham in the Champions League places and have a coach, in Ralph Hasenhuttl, who has a fine track record when it comes to helping young players realise their potential.
But, according to the Express and Star, there are two key reasons why Choudhury would choose West Brom over Newcastle or the Saints.

One: the 23-year-old believes he’d be more likely to play first-team football at the Hawthorns.
And, two, the relatively short commute from Leicester to West Bromwich would remove the need for Choudhury to relocate on a short-term basis.
A tough-tackling defensive midfielder with bags of energy, Choudhury would offer some much-needed protection in front of the Premier League’s most porous backline at West Brom.
