Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luke Amos is expected to join Queens Park Rangers on a permanent basis by next week, according to West London Sport.
While £9 million winger Jack Clarke looks set to be offered a place in Jose Mourinho’s plans after a loan spell at Loftus Road, the same cannot be said about Amos.
At the age of 23, the Hertfordshire-born youngster appears to have missed the boat at Tottenham and will be denied the chance to follow in the footsteps of fellow late-bloomers Harry Kane and Harry Winks.
Reports today claim that Amos is expected to join QPR on a full-time basis despite interest from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
What’s more, the deal could be all signed, sealed and delivered before Mark Warburton’s Rangers begin their pre-season training next week.
“He’s a very talented boy,” Warburton told QPR’s official website of Amos last year.

A tidy and technically gifted central midfielder, the former Southend United and Stevenage loanee scored twice in 35 Championship games in 2019/20.
And, given that Amos plays exactly the kind of pretty passing football that Warburton has made his trademark, it is no surprise that QPR have opted to turn his loan move into a permanent transfer.
