According to TYC Sports, Paulo Dybala will now leave Juventus for free after rejecting a new contract, with Liverpool monitoring the situation.

What’s the story?

Well, this is quite big news, and Liverpool could benefit from it.

TYC Sports believe Juventus had agreed a new deal with the £222,000-a-week forward, only to go back on their word.

The Italian giants allegedly changed the terms of the contract they had agreed with Dybala, leading to him pulling out of renewal talks.

Now, the 31-cap Argentina international is determined to leave the Allianz Stadium, and is currently free to negotiate pre-contract agreements.

It comes after Calciomercato revealed that Liverpool were tracking Dybala’s contractual situation at Juventus with a view to a free transfer once his current deal expires.

So far this season, the 28-year-old has scored nine goals in all competitions, while also providing four assists.

Liverpool have to sign Paulo Dybala

Liverpool are brilliant at seizing opportunities in the market.

Thanks to their Director of Football Michael Edwards, the Reds have moved quickly to secure bargain deals for the likes of Thiago and Mohamed Salah.

Andy Robertson for £8m was another example of his genius.

Now, with Edwards set to leave at the end of the season, he can go out in spectacular fashion by bringing Dybala to Anfield.

Jürgen Klopp is severely lacking quality attacking depth, so the Argentine would not be a vanity signing, but a necessary addition.

Divock Origi is said to be up for sale for just £7m, whereas Takumi Minamino has failed to impact games in the Premier League.

In that respect, bringing Dybala – a truly world class forward – to Merseyside could be just what Liverpool need to keep in touch with Manchester City.

If a deal can somehow be struck this month instead of the summer, it could even save Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes.
