According to MARCA, Real Madrid will announce the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti within the next few hours.
The Spanish giants hope to appoint Zinedine Zidane’s replacement quickly, and have identified the Everton boss as a target.
Interestingly, the £221,000-a-week Italian remains an admirer of Real Madrid, and left the club on good terms unlike Zidane, as MARCA write.
Paris Saint-Germain refused to let Mauricio Pochettino talk to Los Blancos, while Antonio Conte’s appointment became too complicated.
As a result, Ancelotti seems to be heading back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 61-year-old was hugely successful in Madrid, where he won two Champions League titles, the Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Heartbreaking for Everton

After such a good start to the season, the Toffees tailed off and eventually finished 10th.
However, there are certainly signs of improvement at Goodison Park, and it felt as if the Italian was building a decent project on Merseyside.
Evidently, however, Ancelotti does not see enough to want to carry on at Everton.
This is the danger of Everton hiring a top-class manager.

The Toffees are no match for the likes of Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, so a world-class manager like Ancelotti will always be at risk of leaving when a European giant has a vacancy.
Hopefully, MARCA aren’t telling the truth, as it feels like Ancelotti has only been at Everton for five minutes.
He also hasn’t had much time in front of the fans, so it would be a shame to see him go before Goodison Park is packed once again.
