All Nigeria Soccer reports that Tobi Omole has been promoted to senior Tottenham training ahead of Saturday evening’s clash against Manchester City. Antonio Conte is considering including him in the matchday squad.
Omole, 22, has included in first-team training by Conte ahead of this weekend’s tough clash. That is, despite the return of Eric Dier – who is expected to start the match after overcoming a groin injury.
The ex-Arsenal defender has never played for Tottenham’s senior side but has been on the bench three times this season. They came against NS Mura, Stade Rennais and Crystal Palace – resulting in a 3-0 Premier League defeat.
He has been a regular for the club’s Under-23 side – clocking up 15 appearances for the second string. In that time, he has scored two goals – helping his side sit in a lofty fourth place in Premier League 2.
But now, Omole has been promoted to senior training and could find himself on the bench on Saturday evening. He has four months left on his Spurs contract – but is yet to sign the deal offered to him.

At Tottenham, it is unlikely he will sign a new deal because he knows he will struggle to get game time. At 22, he needs to be have been playing a lot more regularly than he is at the moment. Omole needs to leave.
A League One club, or potentially a Championship side might take him on in the summer if he is a free transfer. Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Joe Rodon and plenty more are ahead in the pecking order. He needs a new club.
