It looks like Gabriel Magalhaes is game to join Arsenal.
Speculation is intensifying that the Gunners have stolen a march on their reported rivals for the Lille powerhouse.
Earlier this week is reported by France Blue Nord that Arsenal were set to hijack Napoli’s move for the 22-year-old Brazilian, who stands 6’3.
But ESPN have now reported that Gabriel is keen to join Mikel Arteta’s side and will make a decision at some point this weekend.
What a coup this could be for the North Londoners.
For so long at Arsenal, they were only signing players who nobody else was bidding for – or nobody else wanted, depending on how you look at it.
But now they’re signing established quality names who are very well in demand and this would further indicate a change of policy at the Emirates Stadium.
If he joins, he’ll be partnering William Saliba at the beginning of next season, though Arteta will have plenty of other options, like David Luiz, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari and Shkodran Mustafi, while the likes of Sokratis are poised to leave.
