Isaac Hayden was clattered into by Fabian Schar in Newcastle United training yesterday, the Daily Star report.
Newcastle have only just begun contact training again, and their players certainly were not easing their way back into things.
Schar apparently went in for one tackle on the £20-million rated Hayden (Telegraph) which was particularly hard.
But the pair laughed about the challenge afterwards though, with Hayden saying to the Star: “I didn’t even get a foul for that. The referee in that game wasn’t the best!
“But seriously, it’s great to be out there again and let’s face it, I am not one to shy away from contact.
“It’s certainly nice to be involved like that again.”

Newcastle’s players actually have little to play for after the return other than pride.
Steve Bruce’s side are well clear of the drop zone, but they are unlikely to force their way into top-seven contention, with the North East side currently sat in 13th place.
Newcastle will have to hope that the takeover talk around the club does not serve as a distraction.
The Magpies players have been offered little information over the takeover, but it appears that Mike Ashley’s time at St. James’ Park could be coming to an end.
Newcastle are set to return to action with a game against Sheffield United.
