Colombian midfielder Jaime Alvarado is set to become the first player out the door of Watford during the summer transfer window with El Espactador reporting that he has agreed a move to Atletico Paranaense in Brazil.
With Hornets fans inside and outside of Hertfordshire praying that the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Gerard Deulofeu stay at Vicarage Road for another season or so, the impending departure of a little-known youngster is unlikely to elicit a particularly impassioned response.
Alvarado is undoubtedly a talented footballer but, simply put, Watford supporters just haven’t seen him in action.
A man signed from Real Valladolid in 2017 has spent his time at the club out on loan after all. He is currently plying his trade at CF Badalona in the Spanish lower leagues.
And according to reports back home in South America, a permanent departure is now on the cards. Alvarado is set to sign for Atletico Paranaense with El Escactador suggesting that the only thing missing as it stands is official confirmation of the transfer.

Interestingly, Alvarado is not the only loaned-out Watford youngster attracting interest.
22-year-old striker Luis Suarez has been linked with the likes of Napoli after netting 17 goals during a spell at Real Zaragoza.
Left-back Pervis Estupinan, meanwhile, has sparkled at Osasuna with his electrifying performances in La Liga catching the eye of Tottenham (Sport).
