Benfica goalkeeper Carlos Joaquim dos Santos is keen on a summer switch to the Premier League with Burnley a potential destination, as reported by The Sun (14 February, page 56).

You would imagine, then, that 20-year-old Dos Santos would be battling for a place on the Turf Moor bench if he swaps Benfica for Burnley.
The Sun claims the former Philadelphia Union youngster, who moved to Lisbon five years ago, wants to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
The report doesn’t explain how much Burnley would have to pay, only that Dos Santos can be snapped up for a “bargain” fee.
Interestingly, the Clarets were taken over by a new US investor in the shape of ALK Capital last month. And, if potential work permit problems can be overcome, the first signing of a new era at Turf Moor could also hail from across the Atlantic.
