Niall Huggins does not want to leave Leeds United on loan and prefers to stay put for the season, the Yorkshire Evening Telegraph report.
Leeds are said to be prepared to listen to loan offers for many of their emerging talents.
However, some of Leeds’ prospects want to stick around at Thorp Arch in the hope of convincing Marcelo Bielsa that they are ready to play a first-team role.
Huggins is including in that group of optimistic youngsters, who are backing themselves to earn some Premier League minutes.
A tough task
If the 20-year-old Welshman is to do so, the Leeds prospect will face a real right for his place.
Huggins plays at right-back, where Leeds already have Luke Ayling.
Ayling is a mainstay in Leeds’ side when fit and there is no reason to believe that will change next term.
Huggins is highly rated though, and was given one substitute appearance in the Premier League last term, as a reward for his showings for the Whites’ development squad.
