According to The Telegraph, Zinédine Zidane could soon become a target for Tottenham after he quit his job at Real Madrid.

The report states that Daniel Levy is considering a move for Antonio Conte, after he too quit his job at Inter Milan.

However, Real Madrid have also been linked with the Italian, so it sounds as if Levy is keeping his options open according to The Telegraph‘s article.

If Zidane is the man to replace José Mourinho, it would be a seriously exciting appointment.

The Frenchman walked away from the Santiago Bernabeu after winning an incredible 11 trophies in the Spanish capital.

Zidane is the only manager in history to win three Champions League titles.

The 48-year-old has also been named FIFA Men’s Coach of the Year on two separate occasions.

He has also won La Liga, the UEFA Super Cup, the Spanish Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup – all on two occasions each.

What is Zidane’s record like?

Across his managerial career, Zidane has won 190 of his 301 games, which is quite some record.

It has seen him average 2.1 points per game, amassing 633 points in total.

Zidane has watched his players score 657 goals in that time, while they’ve conceded just 310.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague told the BBC that Zidane felt somewhat betrayed by Florentino Pérez.

Balague claims that, just before a Champions League game against Borussia Monchengladbach, Real Madrid leaked that defeat could see Zidane sacked.

Despite progressing in the competition, the Frenchman didn’t forget, and has now walked away from arguably the biggest job in Europe.

Keep an eye on this fast-paced managerial saga, as anything could happen next.
