Rangers are reportedly keen on luring Jason Cummings to Ibrox.

According to the Daily Mail, the appointment of Aitor Karanka means Rangers target Jason Cummings isn’t quite ready to walk away from Nottingham Forest just yet.
The Gers have already signed Declan John permanently and tied up loan deals for Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy this month, but more incomings could be on the way.
Manager Graeme Murty and director of football Mark Allen are working hard to land new signings, and another striker appears to be on their wish list in Jason Cummings.

Formerly of Hibernian, Cummings joined Nottingham Forest over the summer, but has started just seven Championship games and scored only one league goal.
Now, the Daily Mail note that Rangers are interested in bringing Cummings back to Scotland for a fee of around £1million, but the striker himself isn’t quite ready to make a move.
The report claims that Forest’s appointment of new manager Aitor Karanka means that Cummings wants to wait and see what the future holds for him at the City Ground, meaning Rangers may not be able to seal a move.

Unless Karanka quickly decides that he doesn’t want Cummings as part of his squad, then it seems that the Scot will be staying with Forest at least until the end of the season, with Rangers possibly keeping tabs on his situation.
The 22-year-old hit 69 goals in 150 appearances for Hibs, and ex-Rangers boss Mark Warburton managed to lure him to England over the summer – but the Gers will now hold out hope that they can bring him back to Scotland in 2018.
