According to Goal, Adama Traore would be happy to sign a new contract with Wolves if Nuno Espirito Santo restores his place in the starting XI.
Amid a contract stand-off at Molineux, the Spain international hasn’t been featuring in the Midlands-based outfit’s starting lineup consistently this season.
Traore has only made three Premier League starts this term, and Goal state that he is unlikely to agree to an extension while being sidelined by Nuno.
The 24-year-old’s current deal at Molineux expires in 2023, so in our view, there is no rush to tie him down to fresh terms.
Having said that, the longer the ex-Barcelona man is out of Nuno’s starting XI, the more frustrated he will presumably become. Consequently, that surely won’t improve his chances of penning a new deal.

It is a shame to see such stagnation in Traore’s football this season, especially after he enjoyed such a fantastic campaign last term.
The former Aston Villa winger scored six goals and recorded 12 assists in all competitions last season – he and Raul Jimenez struck up a deadly partnership.

Despite the apparent ill-feeling between Wolves and Traore, Goal mention that the Spaniard – who cost £18 million – maintains a good relationship with Nuno.
It seems simple. Put the No.37 back in the starting XI, and he’ll put pen to paper. Whether Nuno is prepared to do that, however, remains to be seen.
