Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has reportedly turned down the chance to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea or Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea linked with Real Madrid star Federico Valverde
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all are interested in signing Federico Valverde from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The three Premier League clubs “all made enquiries with Madrid and representatives close to the player”, according to the report.
And all three were met with rejections.
Uruguay international Valverde, who is a versatile player and can operate in central midfield or at right wing, is not looking to leave Madrid, who themselves do not want to sell the £181,000-a-week (SalarySport) star, according to the report.

Ambitious
It is quite ambitious of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea to think that they could be able to sign Real Madrid star Federico Valverde in the summer transfer window.
Valverde is one of the best midfielders in the world and is a key figure at Madrid.
Yes, Spanish and European giants have just signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
And yes, Madrid have Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga as well in the middle of the park for the long term.
But, Valverde is one of the best players around, and Madrid will want competition for places in the team.
Valverde made 29 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga for Los Blancos last season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in the process.
The 24-year-old also scored two goals and gave three assist in 11 UEFA Champions League games for Carlo Ancelotti’s side last season.
