Arsenal have offered Kido Taylor-Hart, but are in danger of seeing him snatched away by another English club, the Athletic report.
Taylor-Hart is regarded as one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects and has been called into first-team training by Mikel Arteta at stages this season.
That doesn’t appear to have totally convinced Taylor-Hart that Arsenal is the place to commit his future, though.
The teenager is reportedly weighing up his prospects, with other options on the table.
One of those contract offers is said to come from a mystery English club, which adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story.
A big concern
If Taylor-Hart was to leave Arsenal and then go on to thrive at another Premier League club it would be particularly galling for the Gunners to see.
But the hope is still there that he will put pen to paper with them and commit his future.
Folarin Balogun similarly ran his contract close to expiration, before deciding that the Emirates Stadium was the place for him and signing a new long-term deal.
Balogun was considerably closer to Arsenal’s first-team at that time than Taylor-Hart currently is, but there are still high hopes for the attacking midfielder.
Taylor-Hart is a skilful dribbler and has been one of the Gunners’ star players at under-23 level this season.
