Burnley, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Watford are reportedly keen on Charlie Mulgrew.
Scotland’s Charlie Mulgrew
According to The Mirror (03:20), a host of Premier League clubs are interested in Blackburn Rovers defender Charlie Mulgrew, including Crystal Palace and Southampton.
Mulgrew, 31, joined Blackburn on a free transfer from Celtic back in the summer of 2016, and suffered relegation from the Championship last season, which has ultimately resulted in a remarkable campaign this term.
The Scottish defender has now hit 11 goals in just 35 games this season, including eight in his last 12 as he enjoys a stunning run of goalscoring form for Tony Mowbray’s side.

Mulgrew’s impressive form appears to be attracting interest, with The Mirror (03:20) claiming that Crystal Palace, Southampton and Watford have all scouted Mulgrew, as have Blackburn’s bitter rivals Burnley.
Palace have seen Scott Dann suffer a season-ending injury, and manager Roy Hodgson may now be keen to bring in another centre back, with Mulgrew fitting the bill thanks to his experience.
Burnley may see Mulgrew as cover for James Tarkowski and Ben Mee, whilst Watford could be looking for Mulgrew to challenge with Christian Kabasele, Adrian Mariappa and Younes Kaboul.

Southampton figure to be in the market for one more defender after losing Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool earlier this month, with Mulgrew an option after recent scouting.
It’s just 18 months since Celtic released Mulgrew on a free transfer, but his season this term has put him in contention for a Premier League move, even if fans of those linked clubs may be a little underwhelmed.
