Lille star Victor Osimhen’s performances this season have alerted a number of clubs in Europe. The Nigerian has had a stunning season in France, scoring 18 goals in all competitions.
His performances have attracted a whole host of Premier League clubs ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
The Daily Express claimed that Arsenal and Tottenham were interested in signing Osimhen this summer.
The North London duo will sadly miss out on the striker if the latest report about his future is true.
Le10 Sport have claimed that Napoli are in talks with Lille over a possible move for Osimhen this summer.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side have already tabled a bid for the NIgerian but it is believed to be lower than some of the other offers Lille have received so far for their star man.
Osimhen is, however, said to be ‘very interested’ in Napoli’s and Gattuso’s project which is a huge boost for them.
The Italians have already agreed a deal to sign Gabriel Magalhaes this summer. (Le10 Sport) Napoli are hoping that the relationship formed between themselves and Lille will help in their pursuit of Osimhen in the coming months.

It will be interesting to see how this saga unfolds. Napoli are almost certain to part ways with Arkadiusz Milik this summer and Osimhen is a solid replacement for the Pole.
Blow for Arsenal and Tottenham?
Tottenham are looking for a striker to play alongside, or in place of, Harry Kane. The Englishman’s absence this season played a massive part in Tottenham’s underwhelming run under Jose Mourinho this year.
The futures of Arsenal’s two star strikers is up in the air as well. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will soon enter the final year of his contract while Alexandre Lacazette might look for change considering that he is behind young Eddie Nketiah in the pecking order.
It will be a huge blow for the two North London rivals if Osimhen’s interest in Napoli is true. However, the duo might not have been able to afford the Nigerian in the first place due to the current financial climate.
