Flamengo midfielder Gerson is hoping that Tottenham Hotspur come in for him this summer, according to Goal.BR.
Spurs have reportedly informed Gerson’s agents that they would be willing to spend £16 million to bring him in this summer, as Jose Mourinho looks to improve his midfield options.
Gerson has caught the eye in Brazil, where he has been a key feature of Flamengo’s side.
Tottenham are now apparently willing to give him a second chance in European football, and the move would appeal to him.

Gerson struggled in Italy earlier on in his career, when he spent time with Fiorentina and Roma, but seemingly feels that he is ready to make an impact in the Premier League now.
Tottenham are working on a limited budget, but they may be able to stretch to affording Gerson, as he is said to be available for £16 million.
If Gerson was brought to Tottenham he would be in competition with the likes of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele for a first-team place.
