PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe will reportedly stay with the French giants despite rumoured interest from the Premier League ahead of this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the 26-year-old defender has emerged as a target for numerous unnamed clubs, with Kimpembe’s future at PSG up in the air following the Ligue 1 side’s latest UEFA Champions League collapse, this time to the hands of Real Madrid.
The French centre-back was criticised for his performance last week as Karim Benzema bagged a whirlwind hat-trick to overturn a 2-0 deficit for Madrid as PSG were once again dumped out of Europe’s top club competition.
With a reported wage of £164,000-a-week, Kimpembe is one of the highest-paid defenders at the club and has been linked with a move away from PSG, with the Premier League a potential destination as the French club look to reshuffle the squad around.
As per the report, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria are set to leave PSG this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino also set to depart the French capital after failing to lead the club to the Champions League, yet for Kimpembe, the defender looks set to remain.
In the past, Kimpembe has been linked with the likes of Arsenal. However, even with Premier League clubs reportedly keen on the defender, the Paris academy graduate is now ready to remain with the club ahead of a new era with PSG.

After being one of PSG’s main players for the past few seasons, a new challenge could have been welcome for Kimpembe, who looks ready to leave his boyhood club in search of something different in his career.
However, with the defender making this transfer decision, the Premier League will seemingly never be a home for Kimpembe, who could have been a solid addition to the division and for whichever club signed the centre-back.
