This Rafinha to Everton rumour isn’t going away.
Sport reported in July that Everton and Wolves were keen on the Barcelona midfielder, who only has a year to run on his contract.
It doesn’t seem like the 27-year-old has much future at Camp Nou under new coach Ronald Koeman.
And although plenty of clubs have been linked with a move for Rafinha, the Spanish publication reported on Thursday that a move to Everton is the priority for him.
The report adds that if the Toffees ‘takes the step’ then Rafinha could be ‘out in days’.
Rafinha, who spent last season on loan at Celta Vigo, has a £15 million [€17m] release clause in Catalunya, according to Marca, and even though the Goodison Park side, like every club, lost a lot of money during the global health crisis, they should have enough to pay the necessary fee to get this player.
It hasn’t been a hectic summer on the transfer front for Everton just yet, with 19-year-old Niels Nkounkou their only signing so far.
