Brighton and Hove Albion have performed a U-turn over Solly March’s future, with TEAMtalk reporting the West Ham, Everton and Leeds United target could be offered a new contract.
Just seven games into 2020/21, a South Coast native who has spent almost a decade in the Seagulls’ flock is finally establishing himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.
March started just 11 matches last term.
But he is on the verge of equalling that tally already this season having been included in Graham Potter’s XI for every one of Brighton’s seven Premier League games so far.
After catching the eye with his searing pace and tremendous work rate down the left-hand side, March looks set to be rewarded with a new deal too.
His current contract expires in 2022.
It’s fair to say the 26-year-old has come a long way in a short time.
TEAMtalk claims Brighton were looking to sell March for £15 million during the summer but, after turning his career around at the Amex, the old-school left-winger could be handed an improved contract as well as an unexpected England call-up.

In truth, his potential has never been in question. It’s just that he’s finally starting to produce consistent performances.
There’s a reason why Newcastle, Leeds, Everton, West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers were so interested in securing his signature during the summer (90Min).
