French outlet Homme Du Match claim that Serhou Guirassy is open to joining Everton amid interest from the Toffees this summer. The colossal striker has impressed since joining Rennes in the summer of 2020, scoring 25 goals.
Indeed, that tally has come in the space of 80 games over the last two seasons. The Guinea international is a classic target man, standing at a lofty 6ft 7in. Reports emerged over the weekend that Everton want the striker.
It is believed Rennes are open to his exit for a fee in the region of £15million. Frank Lampard will know him well, having watched Guirassy score against Chelsea in the Champions League in 2020 – when Lampard was Blues manager.
Amid the initial reports that Everton are interested in signing Guirassy, HDM report that actually, Guirassy would be open to joining the Toffees this summer. With Dom Calvert-Lewin’s injury, a striker is likely to be of top priority.

Guirassy is open to joining Everton, Lampard knows him well
The need for a striker is great. Everton have brought in two excellent centre-backs in Conor Coady and James Tarkowski. They have improved their options out wide with the addition of Dwight McNeil.
Now, they have to focus on replacing Richarlison and bring in competition and cover for England man Dom Calvert-Lewin. Another injury suffered by Everton’s no.9 means he is set for a spell on the sidelines.
Against Chelsea on Saturday, Everton did not have a striker. With Salomon Rondon suspended, it seriously affected the way they played. Bringing in Guirassy would solve that issue up top, and bring in top-quality competition.
With all of Everton’s options up top fit, it might be that Guirassy overtakes Rondon in the pecking order. It might be then that Rondon could consider an exit this summer if Everton do bring the Rennes striker to Goodison Park.
