Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have been linked with Jules Kounde, who has been offered to Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

According to Football Transfers, Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, who is on the radar of Newcastle United as well.

The report has claimed that Barcelona have offered Kounde to Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to sign a new central defender who can also play on the right of defence.

And £158,000-a-week (SalarySport) Kounde does fit the bill.

In May, AS reported that Newcastle want to sign Kounde from Barcelona and have asked about the France international.

Manchester United or Newcastle United for Jules Kounde?

In our view, Barcelona defender Jules Kounde would find Manchester United more appealing than Newcastle United.

Now, of course, we know that Newcastle will play in the UEFA Champions League next season, but Manchester United are arguably the biggest club of England.

And they will play in Europe’s premier club competition next season as well as compete for the Premier League title in the coming years.

Barcelona are one of the biggest club in the world, and a switch to Old Trafford from Camp Nou would be a sideways move for Kounde, which we believe, he would find very appealing.
