Exciting for City fans
In our view, Mateo Kovacic is a very good midfielder who would make Manchester City better in the middle of the park.
The 29-year-old has been superb for Chelsea over the years and is at the top of his game at the moment.
The way Kovacic plays his football would make it easy to adapt to Pep Guardiola’s City.
The midfielder – described as “incredible” by West Ham United and England international midfielder Declan Rice in February 2022 – has scored four goals and created 19 big chances in 142 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
