San Lorenzo may be forced to sell Adolfo Gaich with the reported Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion target due to become a free agent in 2021, according to Ole.

Nicknamed ‘the Tank’ due to his towering frame and physical strength, it’s fair to say this 21-year-old is a little different to the usual Argentine forward.

A new Messi, Dybala or Aguero he most certainly is not.

And his physical, all-action style should make Gaich a good fit for English football with two Championship title-chasers going head to head for his £12 million-rated signature.

TYC Sports claimed recently that West Brom want the 6ft 3ins targetman with neither Kenneth Zohore nor Charlie Austin really living up to expectations at the Hawthorns this season. Leeds have also been linked, via PassioneInter.

And the chance to work with former Argentina manager Marcelo Bielsa might be too good for Gaich to turn down. Especially as he edges ever closer to the exit back home.

Try as they might, 15-time league champions San Lorenzo have failed to tie their star striker down to a new, long term deal. Ole, as a result, suggest that the South American outfit may be forced to sell Gaich this summer for fear of losing him on a free 12 months later.

Perhaps that is why his agent, Pablo Caro, told Calciomercato this week that San Lorenzo could be tempted to sell for less than Gaich’s £12 million release clause.
