Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will not let Pape Matar Sarr leave on loan in the final days of the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

Pape Matar Sarr to stay at Tottenham Hotspur

The report has claimed that with Harry Winks joining Sampdoria, Tottenham are not willing to let Sarr leave this week.

Spurs also reportedly have concerns over Oliver Skipp due to the English midfielder’s injury problems.

90min have claimed that ‘Sarr will now stay at Tottenham for the first six months of the season at least’.

There has been speculation this summer that defending Serie A champions AC Milan want to sign the teenage midfielder this summer.

Developing under Antonio Conte

In our opinion, Pape Matar Sarr staying at Tottenham Hotspur for the first half of the season would be beneficial to the 19-year-old.

Yes, all players want to play regularly, but Sarr is only 19 and is still developing and progressing as a footballer.

Antonio Conte is one of the best managers in the world who is a serial winner.

Working under the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss on a daily basis would hep the Senegal international get better.

Tottenham paid Metz £14.6 million plus add-ons to sign Sarr in the summer of 2021 (Sky Sports).

The teenager spent last season on loan at Metz.

Sarr made 22 starts and 11 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.
