Barcelona want rid of Liverpool target Ousmane Dembele quickly, according to the Daily Telegraph

Philippe Coutinho has been the player most heavily linked with a move away from Barca this summer, but the Catalan club are apparently actually focusing on getting Dembele off their books first.

That could be music to the ears of Liverpool, who are said to be interested in signing the French international.

Bleacher Report claim that Liverpool are looking at making a loan move for Dembele, with a view to signing him on a permanent deal next year.

That could be a smart move for Liverpool, who appear to be shopping on a limited budget.

Dembele remains a supreme talent, but he has struggled badly to make an impact with Barcelona since his £135 million move (BBC Sport) – after a series of injury problems.

If Liverpool were to bring in Dembele he could add to their creative options, and give Jurgen Klopp’s side more strength in depth up top.

While Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are arguably the Premier League’s most dangerous forward line, there still remains some concerns about what could happen to Liverpool if one of the trio was to get injured for a sustained period of time.

Dembele is actually said to be keen on a move to Anfield, as he has been impressed by Liverpool’s supporters, by Cuatro.
