According to Tutto Juve, Alvaro Morata is not interested in joining Arsenal, due to the struggles he faced during his time at Chelsea.

What’s the story?

Well, Arsenal should probably move onto their next target for the centre-forward department, as this one doesn’t look likely to happen.

It was only recently that Corriere dello Sport claimed Morata would be open to joining the Gunners, after the north Londoners submitted a £25m bid.

Now, however, there are conflicting reports coming from Italy.

Tutto Juve believe the £125,000-a-week man has no intention of returning to the Premier League, where he has bad memories of his time in west London.

The report states that Morata felt ‘in the dark’ at Chelsea, and feels much happier in Turin where he is on loan at Juventus from Atlético Madrid.

In that respect, you would presume Juventus will wrap up a permanent deal for the Spain international if they can agree a fee with Atlético Madrid.

Chelsea have done Arsenal a favour

Arsenal fans should be glad Morata struggled at Stamford Bridge, as it means they might now focus on other targets.

The 29-year-old scored just 16 goals in 47 Premier League appearances, and generally looked lost in English football.

Sadly, the physical nature of the Premier League seemingly got the better of Morata, and it is probably for the best that he doesn’t return to these shores.

Arsenal need someone prolific, as well as a younger option, so we’re not even sure why they bid £25m for the former Real Madrid man in the first place.

Hopefully, a less goal-shy option can be found by Edu.
