Juventus player Adrien Rabiot has held talks with Carlo Ancelotti about a move to the Premier League with Everton, FootMercato claims.

A 25-year-old central midfielder with all the potential in the world is once again hogging the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

After spending almost the whole 2018/19 season collecting dust on the sidelines after a high-profile falling out at PSG, Rabiot appears to have one foot out the door at another bona fide European giant.

The Frenchman’s outspoken mother is never too far away from stirring up controversy and FM claims that Veronique Rabiot has a less than cordial relationship with Juve director Fabio Paratici. As a result, her doting son is allegedly already packing his bags as he looks to bring a premature end to a spell in Turin which promised so much but delivered so little.

Rabiot was handed his senior debut by a certain Italian tactician in 2012. And, according to FootMercato, a 6ft 2ins enforcer with ability by the bucketload has now held talks regarding a reunion with Ancelotti at Goodison Park.

The divisive Frenchman might not be the kind of tough-tackling snapper that Everton need in the post-Idrissa Gana Gueye era, but the prospect of Rabiot forging a partnership with Andre Gomes in the centre of the park should have Toffees fans everywhere drooling.

Rabiot earns £120,000-a-week at Juve (the Mail). A similar pay-packet would make him Everton’s joint-highest earner.
