According to Torcedores, Yerry Mina is interested in a move to Flamengo, and Everton have no plans to stop him from leaving.

What’s the story?

Well, the £120,000-a-week Everton man has been offered to Flamengo by his agent, and he’s interested in the move.

The Brazilian giants would pair him with former Premier League star David Luiz, and the Colombian seems to be enthused by that.

Torcedores believe Flamengo are considering an offer which would see Mina initially arrive on loan, with an option to buy the centre-back.

Everton are said to want a €2m (£1.7m) loan fee, and the price of a permanent deal is not disclosed.

However, you would presume the Toffees want at least £10m, having spent £27.19m on the 27-year-old back in 2018.

So far this season, Mina has made 11 appearances in all competitions, and is currently set to miss two months with a quad injury.

Everton should sell Yerry Mina

In our view, Everton are right to want Mina gone from Goodison Park.

That is not meant as a dig towards his ability, as the South American is a fine player who also poses a real threat from set-pieces.

However, while his value is still relatively high at the age of 27, we feel the Toffees should cash in before their asset becomes less valuable.

Mina cost a lot, and if a decent fee can be recouped for him, it should be spent on a new centre-back to partner Ben Godfrey in the long-term.

Keep an eye on this saga, as Mina could soon be leaving Everton if Torcedores are to be trusted.
