Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have received a boost in their quest to sign Joao Felix, with the Atletico Madrid playmaker telling his agent to find him a new club in the January transfer window, according to Marca.
Marca have reported that Felix has asked agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new club in the middle of the season.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in the 23-year-old, who can operate as a forward, winger or attacking midfielder.
Arsenal have also been linked with Felix, who cost Atletico £113 million in transfer fees when they signed him in 2019 (The Sun).
Journalist Paul Brown told GiveMeSport in October 2022 that Arsenal have admired Felix for a long time and are interested in signing the 23-year-old Portugal international.

Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix would make Arsenal better
In our view, Atletico Madrid playmaker Joao Felix would make Arsenal better.
The 23-year-old has not always had the best of times at Atletico mainly due to head coach Diego Simeone’s playing time.
The former La Liga champions do not tend to play free-flowing attacking football, and that has stopped the 23-year-old from fulfilling his potential.
Arsenal play wonderful attacking football under manager Mikel Arteta, who could get Felix playing his best like he has done with Martin Odegaard.
