According to The Times, Wilfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave before pre-season starts, amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.
The £120,000-a-week forward has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park, and wants out before pre-season begins next month.
The Times reveal the news just days after Goal claimed that Tottenham were interested in signing the 28-year-old.
A few weeks before, 90min revealed that Arsenal were keen to sign Zaha, who they bid £40 million for in 2019.
The 18-cap Ivory Coast international scored 11 Premier League goals this season, his personal best in England’s top-flight.
Despite Arsenal and Tottenham’s interest, The Times believe Zaha’s options are currently unclear.
The situation has become complicated by the financial impacts of COVID-19, which has completely depressed the market.
Zaha sounds desperate to leave Crystal Palace

After Arsenal’s £40 million bid in 2019 was rejected, Crystal Palace’s No.11 handed in a transfer request (Guardian).
Nearly two years on from that saga, he still wants to leave Selhurst Park.
You shouldn’t keep an unhappy player at a club in any sense, let alone for another two years, so the Eagles really should sell Zaha this summer.
Now, it feels as if those interested in the forward just need to pay a fee which satisfies Crystal Palace.

The Times, interestingly, added that the south Londoners could be open to his departure, after he scored just three goals in 2021.
It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace grant Zaha’s wishes, as they are currently without a manager.
If appointing a replacement for Roy Hodgson depends on Zaha staying, things could become even more complicated.
