Birmingham City are interested in signing Jack Clarke from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Birmingham Mail.

It has been reported that Birmingham manager Aitor Karanka is close to signing the former Leeds United winger on a season-long loan deal.

Tottenham Hotspur spell

Clarke joined Tottenham from Leeds in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reported by The Birmingham Mail to be worth £10 million.

The 19-year-old winger was loaned out immediately to Leeds, but the teenager – who can also play as a forward – struggled for playing time at Elland Road.

According to WhoScored, the England Under-20 international played 19 minutes in the Championship for the Whites in the first half of last season, and after he was recalled from his loan spell at Leeds, he was sent out on loan to Queens Park Rangers in the second tier of English football.

The youngster struggled for playing time at QPR as well, and was able to make just six substitute appearances in the Championship, according to WhoScored.

It seems that Clarke will go back to the Championship again on loan, this time to Birmingham.
