Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso will fly to Spain today to undergo a medical at Villarreal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Tottenham and Argentina international midfielder Lo Celso is flying to Spain today in oder to complete a move to Villarreal.
The Italian journalist has added on his website that Lo Celso will join the La Liga club on a loan deal, with Villarreal having the option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
Di Marzio has added that Serie A club Fiorentina were preparing an offer for the £100,000-a-week (SalarySport) Argentina international midfielder.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal from Tottenham.
Lo Celso made 11 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga last season.

The Argentine scored one goal and gave one assist in those matches.
The Tottenham-owned midfielder also made six appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Villarreal last season.

Spurs exit makes sense
In our view, Giovani Lo Celso leaving Tottenham Hotspur once again does make sense.
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte clearly does not fancy the 26-year-old, and there was no point in the midfielder staying at the North London club and not getting any playing time.
