Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno could reportedly become a Fulham player before the start of the new Premier League season.
Fulham want to sign Leno from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Fulham are “increasingly hopeful” of completing a deal for Arsenal and Germany international goalkeeper Leno before the start of the season.
It was just days ago when The London Evening Standard reported that Arsenal and Fulham were in talks over an £8 million deal for the £100,000-a-week (SalarySport) goalkeeper.
The opening game of the new Premier League campaign is on this coming Friday evening when Crystal Palace take on Arsenal at Selhurst Park.

Fulham, who won promotion from the Championship at the end of last season, will lock horns with Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Gunners exit makes sense
In our view, it would make sense for Bernd Leno to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Aaron Ramsdale is the number one goalkeeper at the Gunners, who have also signed Matt Turner this summer.
Leno is at the top of his game and is a very good shot-stopper, and he would be a brilliant signing for Fulham.
