Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after The Telegraph reported that Danny Ings is now their top transfer priority this summer.
The Southampton striker has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs in recent times, and while Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club, Spurs reportedly want the striker to act as a partner to Kane rather than as his replacement.
As you can imagine, Spurs fans had plenty to say about this rumour, and they were largely excited by the prospect of Ings coming in.
A couple of fans noted that they expect Ings to be the club’s new number nine after Gareth Bale returned to Real Madrid, while another fan claimed that this was a perfect move.
Of course, convincing Southampton to part ways with their star man will be a difficult task, but with Ings entering the final year of his contract, the Saints may have to cash in this summer.
