Monaco have a replacement in mind already if Tottenham Hotspur meet their asking price for Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco.

Monaco have a replacement in mind already if Tottenham Hotspur meet their asking price for Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, report French website Maxifoot.

The player in question is Sporting Lisbon winger Carlos Mane, who is part of Portugal’s under-21 side.

Maxifoot report that Mane has told Sporting that he is open to a move, which would see him link back up with former boss Leandro Jardim.

Talksport reported this week that Monaco are demanding £18 million for Ferreira-Carrasco, and are open to selling at that price. They reported how Spurs supposedly had a bid of just under £10 million rejected by the Ligue 1 side last week.

Win win?

£18 million is a big fee, and above what Spurs were aiming to pay – but the reality is if they settle for less, they will end up with Victor Moses.

Ferreira-Carrasco is an excellent prospect and Belgian international, who scored past Arsenal in the Champions League just last season.

Mane himself would not be a bad signing, but he is less polished, but Monaco would still land up in profit from the double deal, with Sporting asking for £14 million.
