Young Tottenham Hotspur academy player Reo Griffiths has caught the eye for the second time in a handful of days, after a starring role during Saturday’s Under 18s defeat to North London rivals Arsenal.
The attacker scored twice in midweek during a Uefa Youth League match away to CSKA Moscow and has followed that up with another brace in a big game, even if it was another disappointing result for Spurs.

The forward actually put the Lilywhites 1-0 up against the Gunners, being sent through to slot past the goalkeeper just before half time. The Tottenham twitter feed said Griffiths’ movement was giving the Arsenal defence problems, but it would be the away team who would hit back in the second half, scoring twice in in the first 23 minutes.
But Griffiths quickly equalised for Spurs with a low shot, only for Tottenham to lose out after two late goals from their rivals.
Nevertheless, the club’s young striker certainly seems to have a knack for finding the net, and considering he would likely be one of the younger players on the pitch, Griffiths could only get better as the season goes on.
It is a little too soon to suggest he could be the next Harry Kane, but with Mauricio Pochettino in charge, and the Spurs academy so adept at bringing through prospects right now, you may not have heard the last of Griffiths.
