Rennes fans have been left furious after Raphinha joined Leeds United yesterday.
Leeds completed a deal for the Brazilian winger late on during deadline day, and the news has not gone down at all well in France.
Some Rennes fans are annoyed with Raphinha for taking what they perceive to be a backwards step, while others are just sad to lose such a quality player.
The passionate reaction from Rennes fans does at least highlight to Leeds what a quality player they have just signed.
Raphinha was a key player for Rennes last term, as they forced their way into the Champions League spots.
Raphinha, for all his quality, actually faces a fight to earn his spot at Leeds though.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have started the season in fine form, and the likes of Helder Costa, Jack Harrison and Ian Poveda will not want to give up their spots in the team, after beginning the campaign so strongly.
