Rennes manager Julien Stephan has named four Celtic players who will be a threat to his team tonight, as quoted in The Glasgow Evening Times.

Celtic will take on Rennes away from home in France in Europa League Group E on Thursday evening.

Ahead of the match, Stephan has praised the Hoops, and he has also mentioned four Celtic players who are very good – Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard.

Stephan told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I do believe that Celtic is also one of the favourites. As far as experience goes, for instance, they should be able to perform well, maybe just behind Lazio.

“This is a totally different group from last year. We think it’s a stronger team. They are used to winning their national championship very regularly, every year almost.

“It’s a very big team with lots of experience at our level, and they have many international players. They can play in the air and they are very technical, with (Callum) McGregor, (Ryan) Christie, (James) Forrest and (Odsonne) Edouard just to mention a few.”

Could Celtic win against Rennes?

Playing at home will give Rennes a major advantage this evening, but Celtic are a team in form and are playing well at the moment.

A draw in France will not be a bad result for the Hoops, but Neil Lennon’s side should do their best to pick up all three points from the encounter.

Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard could all start for Celtic, and with a lineup like that, the Bhoys should be able to at least pick up a point at Rennes this evening.
