Remy Cabella has joined Marseille on a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.
Remy Cabella has taken to social networking site Twitter to bid a fond farewell to Newcastle United.
The France international attacking midfielder has left the Magpies on a season-long loan deal for Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, as announced on the club’s official website earlier this evening.
The 25-year-old has wished the Premier League outfit the best of luck this season on Twitter, while stating that it is “a pure joy, a pride” to have joined Marseille.
Cabella joined Newcastle from French club Montpellier in the summer of 2014, but he struggled to make a huge impact last season.
The Frenchman could show only glimpses of his talent during the 2014-15 campaign, scoring one goal and creating 37 chances in 31 Premier League matches.
The 25-year-old will now be looking to kickstart his career in his native country and recover his form at Marseille.
Marseille finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season, but they have lost their opening two league games this campaign.
