Some Arsenal fans on social media have been raving over Matt Smith after a clip compiling some of his impressive passing was posted on social media.
The video is just over a minute long and it highlights some of Smith’s best passes from his loan spell at Swindon, and it has to be said, some of them are mightily impressive.
Perhaps the most apt comparison one fan made was to a young Cesc Fabregas, and while Smith isn’t at the level Fabregas was at that age, we have to admit that their styles of play look to be similar.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Gunners fans have raved over Smith this season, and if he keeps impressing, surely it won’t be long before he catches the eye of Mikel Arteta.
Some fans were calling for him to get a run in the first-team, and while he may not be ready to start week in, week out, it would certainly be interesting to see how he’d get on playing Premier League football.
The 20-year-old looks to be the real deal based on this clip and Gunners fans have been full of praise for him.
