Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to the emerging transfer news that they’re reportedly interested in Shkodran Mustafi.
The Reds certainly need a centre-back and the last 24 hours have been flooded with links to a plethora of centre-halves, but one link that seems to be stronger than others is to Mustafi.
Arsenal are reportedly ready to let him go, so a deal can definitely be reached, and the Reds certainly need a player like him.
Mustafi hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory since joining Arsenal, so as you can probably imagine, there were mixed feelings amongst the Liverpool fanbase about this link.
However, fans seemed to realise that desperate times call for desperate measures, and the overwhelming feeling was that signing him wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.
One fan even claimed that he reminds him a lot of Dejan Lovren, and we all know that the Croatian did a stellar job for Liverpool at times.
It remains to be seen whether or not this is a deal that gets over the line, but if Mustafi does come to Liverpool, it will be a signing that divides fans.
