Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Yves Bissouma’s performance for Brighton against them yesterday in the 1-0 win.

According to talkSPORT, the Mali international is of interest to Arsenal and Liverpool as a result of his consistently impressive displays for the Seagulls.

Mikel Arteta got a great chance to witness the Gunners target up close last night at the Amex Stadium.

We presume the Spaniard won’t have been disappointed by what he saw.

As WhoScored shows, Bissouma was Brighton’s best-rated player with a 7.47 match rating.

Only Bukayo Saka achieved a higher rating of all the players on the pitch with 7.86.

Brighton’s No.8 also completed three successful dribbles, and recorded one key pass against the Gunners.

The 24-year-old didn’t shirk his defensive responsibilities either.

Bissouma made three successful tackles and three clearances, while also making one interception.

It was a fine, composed display from the £15 million man. You can certainly see why Arteta and Jurgen Klopp are interested in him.

It should be noted that talkSPORT say Bissouma is a January target for the two English giants.

In that respect, we only have a matter of days until the window opens, so it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on the Malian’s situation.

For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans have been saying about the Issia-born maestro’s display…
