Some Leeds United fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Pascal Struijk against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
The centre-half played a key part in Leeds keeping a clean sheet, but it was his contribution at the other end of the pitch that caught the eye of a number of Leeds fans.
Indeed, Struijk got on the end of a number of set-piece opportunities, but unfortunately, he couldn’t find the back of the net.
However, the fact that he was able to get on the end of these crosses pleased a number of supporters, with one fan even claiming that he reminds him of Pontus Jansson, which is high praise when you consider how dominant Jansson was as an aerial threat.
Struijk wasn’t the most flashy performer on the pitch, and it’s understandable that Raphinha is going to grab most of the headlines after yet another dazzling performance, but Struijk is one man who impressed onlooking supporters.
